PET TIPS
The Southern California Veterinary Medical Assn. offers some tips for Labor Day road travelers:
* If your pet needs special care or medication, have it examined by your veterinarian before traveling.
* Feed and water your pet two hours before you leave and bring plenty of fresh water.
* Bring your pet’s regular food. Know that the stress of traveling may cause diarrhea.
* Use a low dose tranquilizer only as a last resort for travel.
