Record industry veteran Irving Azoff is joining forces with Nomura Capital to launch the Entertainment Finance Group, an investment enterprise that will offer to buy royalties and publishing rights from artists, songwriters and others in the entertainment world.
Azoff, former chief of MCA Records, and longtime manager of the Eagles, runs Revolution Records. Nomura, a leading national lender in the real estate industry, has provided more than $20 billion in capital over the last four years for real estate transactions.
Entertainment Finance Group, which would be active in a wide range of financings involving various types of entertainment properties, will present its plans to investors at a luncheon Monday at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.
