Group V to Buy Universal Network Services

NEWPORT BEACH — Group V Corp. said Thursday that it will acquire a Southern California provider of telecommunications products and services. Terms for the purchase of Universal Network Services Inc. were not disclosed.
Group V is a holding company for National Pools Corp., which developed and markets a telephonic group-play program called Hit-Lotto. The program enables lottery players to increase their chances of winning by joining a pool with 99 other players.
