Pupils to Get Reasons for Staying in School

Lincoln Elementary School is giving its students Ten Reasons to Stay in School this year.
The new program, with that title, will use guest speakers to teach students the importance of staying in school and learning how to read.
“The program provides students with some positive role models in contrast to what they see on television,” said Ana Maria Greene, resource teacher at the school and member of the Orange County Reading Assn.
Guest speakers will share their elementary school experiences and pick books to share with students. Speakers expected include Carl N. Karcher, founder of Carl’s Jr., and Anaheim Police Chief Randall Gaston. Information: (714)517-9217.
