Royal Apartments to Reopen in London

The Kensington Palace State Apartments in London, which include paintings and furniture from the royal collection, are scheduled to reopen May 1 after being closed since September 1997 for renovation. Also starting May 1, the royal ceremonial dress collection, which includes the 1893 wedding dress of Queen Mary and several dresses of Queen Elizabeth II, will be displayed in the palace. Palace admission is about $13 for adults; lower rates for children and seniors. Information: (800) 806-7187.
