A Mexican witch has gotten some notoriety in his homeland. Before the national team left for France, he not only predicted Mexico’s 3-1 victory over South Korea, he also predicted the draw with Belgium.
His only problem is that he said Mexico would lose to the Netherlands.
Said Coach Manuel Lapuente: “Don’t believe in witches.”
DEPT. OF OOPS!
The South African team had one small problem when it went to Stade Lescure in Bordeaux to practice the other day:
No one brought the soccer balls.
“I didn’t come here to look for a vacation colony,” Coach Philippe Troussier said, apparently unamused.
The car carrying the equipment from their hotel took a detour but finally arrived about 15 minutes later.
