Brett Kay
Mater Dei, Senior; Baseball/Catcher
Kay’s power and late-inning heroics helped the Monarchs win four games, including a doubleheader sweep over Irvine. In the second game of the doubleheader, Kay hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to give Mater Dei a 7-6 victory. He also homered and had three runs batted in during an 11-6 victory over Esperanza.

* Santa Margarita, senior. Had 20 points and 14 rebounds in a 61-52 victory over Santa Rosa Montgomery in the state Division II title game.
Dusty Schmidt/Golf
* Sunny Hills, junior. Shot two-under 34 at El Dorado to help the Lancers win their first of two matches against Long Beach Millikan.
Brian Wolfe/Baseball/Pitcher
* Servite, junior. Pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts to lead Servite past Westminster, 5-0, in its Golden West League opener.
