Cary Groseclose, a midfielder from Fountain Valley High School, has made an oral commitment to play soccer at Chapman. Groseclose was a four-year starter for the Barons and was named second-team All-Sunset League last season.

Matt Shook, a pitcher from El Modena High School, has orally committed to Chapman. Shook was 2-6 with a 2.86 earned-run average this season.

Jeff Jones of Golden West College has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Long Beach State, his father, Ken, said. Jeff Jones his .376 this season with five home runs and 37 runs batted in.
