The men’s championship game of the 1999 Big West basketball tournament has been moved to Saturday night, March 6, to assist with the NCAA tournament’s selection and seeding process, Big West Commissioner Dennis Farrell announced.
The game will be televised live on ESPN at 9:30 p.m. from Reno. The move from Sunday afternoon was approved unanimously by the conference’s executive committee.
Tournament play for the men begins March 4. The women begin play March 3, and their championship game is tentatively scheduled for 1 p.m. March 6.
