A 17,000-square-foot, two-story office building is being proposed for the former Shell service station across from the public library on Marguerite Parkway. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing tonight and consider approving the project. But the approval will have to include exempting the developer, Hastings Partnership, from standard zoning rules for the building’s height and number of parking spaces. The commission meets at 7 p.m. today in City Hall, 25909 Pala, Suite 150.
