The City Council will select its next mayor and mayor pro tem during tonight’s regular meeting as part of its annual reorganization process.
The council will cap the meeting by electing two members to serve yearlong terms as mayor and mayor pro tem. The new mayor will replace outgoing Mayor Ruby Netzley, who will step down to resume her regular seat on the council.
The meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. in City Council chambers at City Hall, 33282 Golden Lantern.
