Nanci Cole, a teacher at Allen Elementary School in the Garden Grove Unified School District, has been chosen as Orange County’s representative for Teacher of the Year by the California Assn. for the Gifted. She will be honored with 10 other regional winners for 1999 at the organization’s annual conference, March 4-6 in Santa Clara. Each year, CAG recognizes 11 teachers from across California for their outstanding leadership, advocacy for gifted and talented education, and teaching excellence.
