Burundi Envoy to Meet With Executives

Burundi’s ambassador to the United States will meet local businesspeople today to discuss potential infrastructure and trade projects with the African republic.

Thomas Ndikumana’s visit is hosted by the California Central Coast World Trade Center. After meetings today, the ambassador will attend a 5 p.m. reception at the Tower Club in Oxnard.

Burundi President Pierre Buyoya is looking to develop Burundi’s infrastructure and stimulate economic growth. Ndikumana will address his country’s housing, energy, health and agriculture needs as well as current events and trade issues in Burundi.
