Colonel Sentenced to Death in Rape Case

A Palestinian security court sentenced a Palestinian colonel to death after convicting him in a lightning trial of raping a 6-year-old boy, judicial officials said. The tribunal, in a single session, found that Col. Ahmed abu Mustafa kidnapped the boy from the southern Gaza town of Khan Yunis last Friday and raped him in a garage.
