YORBA LINDA

Volunteers are planning a September fund-raiser for the Yorba Linda Civic Light Opera, which was forced to cancel its 1999 season because of a lack of money. A date for the fund-raiser hasn’t been finalized, according to organizers, but the event will include a dinner and silent auction. Proceeds will help pay for the rent at the Forum Theatre, owned by Fullerton College; the opera group pays about $600 a day to use the 314-seat theater for dress rehearsals and performances.
