The City Council is expected to vote on the 1999-2000 city budget following a public hearing Tuesday. The proposed budget is $65.5 million, a decrease of $1.76 million from the 1998-1999 budget, which was increased because of the city’s expenditures on the water tank that ruptured in September and the Little Saigon protests in February and March. The council will also vote on awarding a bid to demolish the ruptured water tank. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 8200 Westminster Blvd. Information: (714) 898-3311.
