The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved the 1999-2000 budget; it totals $44.7 million. Additionally, the council voted 3 to 2 to spend $4,000 to purchase new furniture for the mayor’s office. Councilmen Steve Berry and Gerald N. Sigler cast the dissenting votes.
