The City Council recently approved $8,965 to replace 16 bullet-resistant vests for police officers. According to police, some vest manufacturers have announced that they will warrantee vests for only five years. The city will receive a $4,483 grant from the Federal Department of Justice to cover half the cost of the vests. Information: (949) 497-0750.
