The Planning Commission will hold a second public hearing at 6 tonight on the city’s controversial new Traffic Phasing Ordinance. The commission already has held one lengthy public hearing on the proposed ordinance, which would make changes to the city’s traffic statutes, put into practice in the 1970s. City attorneys say the new code is needed because of drastic changes in state and federal law. The ordinance might be ready to go before the City Council later this month.
