Assemblyman Jack Scott (D-Altadena) will return to Cypress College on Thursday to deliver the commencement address at the graduation ceremonies. Scott was Cypress College president from 1978 to 1987, before becoming president at Pasadena City College and eventually being elected to the state Assembly in 1997. The commencement will be at 6 p.m. on the lawn outside Gym II. Families and friends of graduates are welcome; there is no limit to the number of guests.
