* Re “Gov. Slowpoke,” editorial, Nov. 5: Hooray for Gov. Gray Davis: Yes, Californians did vote for a change when they went to the polls one year ago. If the governor is waiting to find the best department head, or better still, waiting to see how a department functions without one, I applaud him. If six men can do a job, why hire one more just to oversee the six? I would like to see more fat-salaried bureaucratic jobs eliminated. That would really be a change!
