Jeffrey Sinn, a registered professional engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UC Davis, was recently appointed as the city’s director of public works. Sinn also serves as the city engineer. He was selected after an executive search firm conducted more than 60 interviews.
Sinn was the civil engineer for Fountain Valley and before that was assistant director of public works in Santa Maria. He has been the assistant civil engineer for Garden Grove since 1985. He will begin his new position Sept. 27.
