Clark Among 7 Inductees

John Clark, who coached Saugus to a Southern Section Division III basketball championship in 1987, is among seven inaugural inductees into the Saugus High Athletic Hall of Fame.
The induction dinner will be held Sept. 30 at Valencia Country Club, with Coach Steve Lavin of UCLA the keynote speaker.
Also being inducted are Kirk Alger, Rusty Morse, Randy Parker, Roger Salkeld, Steve Spraker and Shawn Stewart. Tickets are $35.

FOOTBALL
Kent Sherman, a 6-7, 270-pound tackle at Calabasas, will sit out tonight’s game against Oak Park because of an ankle sprain.
BASEBALL
* Former Dodger infielder Tracy Woodson will serve as the Lancaster Stealth’s interim manager when the team begins its inaugural California Fall League season Sept. 23.
Woodson is filling in for Manager Lloyd McClendon, a coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates. McClendon will join the Stealth on Oct. 5.
