Santa Paula 33, Granite Hills 0--Senior quarterback Chad Metelak completed six of 12 passes for 130 yards, including two touchdown passes to Johnny Mata in the second quarter at Santa Paula.
Defensive back Xavier Ramirez’s 57-yard interception return in the first quarter and Jacob Macias’ 35-yard touchdown catch from Metelak put Santa Paula (2-0) ahead, 14-0, in the first quarter.
Ramirez led the Santa Paula’s running game with 66 yards in nine carries, and Mata had five receptions for 95 yards.
The Cardinals held Granite Hills (0-2) to 95 yards.
