Toshiba Unit Expands Medical Imaging Deal

Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. said Monday that it has renewed and expanded a contract to provide diagnostic imaging equipment to a Florham Park, N.J., purchasing group that has more than 700 member hospitals.
The Tustin marketer of diagnostic imaging systems said in a press release that the two-year contract with MHA/MedEcon Group Purchasing Organization should bring in about $10 million in revenue.
Under the agreement, member networks and hospitals may acquire diagnostic imaging equipment for radiology and cardiology applications, including ultrasound, X-ray, vascular X-ray, nuclear medicine, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Toshiba America Medical is a subsidiary of Toshiba America Inc.
