Kohn Turns to Visor After Close Calls

Right wing Ladislav Kohn was struck between the eyes by a skate in the Ducks’ 2-1 loss Saturday against the Kings. He was hit by a teammate’s slap shot just below the left eye Sunday.
Monday, he donned a protective visor for the Ducks’ game against the Nashville Predators.
“Getting hit by the skate was the first warning,” Kohn said. “Getting hit by the puck was the second warning. I think I’m going to prevent a third one by putting on a visor.”
Kohn had worn a visor while playing in the junior-level Western Hockey League, but stopped when he began to play in the minors.

The Ducks signed free-agent center Andy McDonald, 22, from Colgate. McDonald is a Hobey Baker Award finalist.
