Fidelity National Financial Inc. in Irvine and Tyler Technologies Inc. agreed to form a business-to-business Internet portal company called NationsData.com., Fidelity said Thursday.
As part of the agreement, Fidelity said it will buy 10% of Tyler Technologies’ common shares.
The companies expect NationsData, which will offer real property data and services, to have annual revenue of about $200 million in its first year.
Both Fidelity National and Dallas-based Tyler Technologies will initially own 50% of the venture.
The new company will use databases from Fidelity’s title insurance business and Tyler Technologies’ land records business to create a real property database for electronic commerce transactions.
Fidelity National Chief Executive William P. Foley II will be co-chairman of NationsData, along with Louis A. Waters, chairman of Tyler Technologies.
