Having played baseball from Little League to college--and never making $1 from the sport--I learned how to hold a bat when you bunt. How in the world does Kevin Brown, who has been around a long time and is making $15 million a season, wrap his hand around the fat part of the bat?
Dodger coaches, please teach him.

Larry Stewart recently noted in his TV-radio column that the new experiment with Vin Scully doing all nine innings is OK except for those fans who miss Ross Porter or Rick Monday doing the television play by play. I agree. I’d rather listen to Monday do the commentary while I’m watching the game. By the way, I also prefer cat food out of a dumpster to filet mignon.
