Artist to Discuss Role as Painter, Actor, Poet

Duncan Regehr, a Royal Canadian artist, will discuss his work as painter, poet and actor on Monday in a special event added to the Focus on the Masters’ Tuesday talk series.
Regehr, featured in the role of Horace in Rubicon Theatre Company’s production of “The Little Foxes” in Ventura, works in water and oils and has produced a series of expressionistic, figurative oils along with several drawings.
His works will be the first exhibited in the Laurel Gallery, in the lower level of the Laurel building at Laurel Avenue and Main Street in Ventura.
Regehr has also been featured in “The New Zorro” on the Family Channel and portrayed actor Errol Flynn in a CBS miniseries.
His talk will be in the form of an interview from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Laurel Theatre, 1006 E. Main St. in Ventura.
Tickets to the talk are $8 for adults and free to students under 18 and FOM members. They will be available at the door, or reservations can be made by calling (805) 649-9366.
