2 Die as Van Goes Over Cliff at Border

A van carrying suspected illegal immigrants plummeted down a 50-foot cliff in the U.S.-Mexico border town of Eagle Pass, Texas, killing two people and seriously injuring more than a dozen. The van was in reverse, with people still trying to get in, when a Border Patrol vehicle approached, said patrol spokesman Carlton Jones. After agents told the driver to stop, he jumped into the front passenger seat while the van was still in reverse. The van kept rolling backward until it went off the cliff.
