Developers of a new Wienerschnitzel restaurant want to build a drive-through restaurant at the Imperial Rose Shopping Center at the corner of Imperial Highway and Rose Drive. The request will go before the Placentia Planning Commission on May 25.
This follows a request earlier this month to build a Wienerschnitzel at Chapman Avenue and Murray Street. That request, filed by a different applicant, was approved by the Planning Commission but has been appealed by Councilwoman Maria Moreno. Residents living near that proposed site said it would bring heavy traffic, noise and odors to the neighborhood.
City officials expect the restaurant plans at Imperial and Rose to have fewer approval problems, since the facility would be inside a retail complex.
