“Deep Cut Made in Redwood Tree Used in Long Protest,” Nov. 28: It was with great dismay, sorrow and anger that I read about the senseless chain-saw attack upon the mighty redwood tree, Luna, in the far north of California. What nearsightedness! What a lack of feeling for things beautiful and wonderful! What a moronic coward! You sure set a really fine example for your children. I do hope you have enough ability to read this comment.
