No. 2 Fountain Valley, No. 4 Edison Tie

Fountain Valley, ranked second in Orange County, and fourth-ranked Edison played to a 0-0 overtime tie in a Sunset League boys’ soccer game Wednesday at Edison High.
Joey Balbas had eight saves for Edison (11-2-2, 3-1-1 in league) and Kyle Polak had four saves for Fountain Valley (13-1-2, 4-0-1).
Both teams scored apparent goals in the second half, but both times officials disallowed the goals.
In another Sunset League game:
Los Alamitos 2, No. 6 Huntington Beach 1--Adam Nauta scored in the 60th minute to break a 1-1 tie for host Los Alamitos (12-5-3, 2-3). Huntington Beach is 12-3-1, 2-3.
In the Century League:
Foothill 3, Orange 0--Steve Adams had two goals and an assist for visiting Foothill (10-6-3, 3-0-1).
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 3, Cypress 1--Ryan Valdez had a goal and two assists for visiting El Dorado (20-3, 4-0).
In the Freeway League:
Buena Park 3, Troy 1--Junior Bryan Barragan scored twice for visiting Buena Park (6-9-1, 3-1).
In the Orange League:
Valencia 1, Anaheim 0--Luis Perez scored in the fifth minute off an assist from Carlos Placentia for host Valencia (7-6-1, 3-0), which outshot Anaheim, 29-7.
In the Sea View League:
No. 8 Irvine 5, Laguna Hills 2--Matt Taylor scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season and goalkeeper Kyle Ritter stopped a penalty kick for visiting Irvine (8-1-3).
In a nonleague game:
No. 9 Estancia 3, Newport Harbor 1--Soesaul Mendoza scored two goals, giving him 27 this season, for host Estancia (10-1-1).
