Choppy Seas Are Straight Ahead

Things are not solid for the Clippers as they head into the last four weeks of the season.
They have lost six consecutive games and two key players, power forward Maurice Taylor and rookie Lamar Odom, are questionable for tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons because of injuries.
Taylor has sat out the last two games with an ankle injury and Odom did not practice Friday because of a tender left calf.
“We’re all frustrated but we’re trying to stay together,” said interim Coach Jim Todd, whose bench has scored only 13 points over the last two games. “You’re always going to have little things pop up.”

Center Michael Olowokandi practiced Friday after sitting out much of Thursday’s loss at Houston because of a migraine headache.

If Taylor and Odom do not play, Todd said the Clippers may start Derek Anderson, Jeff McInnis, Eric Piatkowski, Tyrone Nesby and Olowokandi against the Pistons.
