SALT LAKE CITY — Doug Ast broke a tie with 3:25 to play in the second period Friday night, sending the Long Beach Ice Dogs to a 4-2 victory over the Utah Grizzlies.
Ast’s 18th goal of the season broke a 2-2 tie. Rookie Nils Ekman added an empty-net goal with 16 seconds to play.
