Chicago Wins, 4-1, to Sweep Ice Dogs

Niklas Andersson scored two goals Wednesday night as the Chicago Wolves defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs, 4-1, in front of 3,112 at the Long Beach Arena.
The loss ended the Ice Dogs’ International Hockey League season. They were swept in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series as the Wolves outscored them, 16-4.
The Wolves meet the Houston Aeros in the Turner Cup finals.
Andersson’s first goal was short-handed and unassisted at 4:26 of the second period. His second goal came on the power play at 14:25 of the third. Guy Larose scored at 11:46 of the first period.
Doug Ast scored the Ice Dogs’ goal at 6:31 of the third period.
