City staff are still waiting for the county to hand over the parcel of land upon which the city hopes to construct the Intergenerational Community Center.
City Manager William Talley said they were expecting to receive the deed to the land during the first week of May but problems with some of the language in the transfer agreement have held things up.
The county has purchased the 1.8-acre parcel of land on the southeast corner of La Miranda and El Paseo, near the Town Center shopping complex.
