Seraphs Win County Record 20th In a Row

The lights went off Friday night at Calabasas High, and unfortunately for the Coyotes, so did Lorenzo Booker.

Booker rushed 17 times for 284 yards and five touchdowns, and the St. Bonaventure Seraphs rolled to a Ventura County record 20th consecutive victory by defeating the Coyotes, 46-7, in a nonleague game at Calabasas.

The game was delayed for one hour after the transformer for the stadium lights failed with 4:48 remaining in the first quarter.

Booker scored on runs of 41, 46, four, 14 and 46 yards.

St. Bonaventure (6-0) rushed for 372 yards and held Calabasas (2-4) to minus-35 yards on the ground.

Whitney Lewis caught three passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns for the Seraphs. Lewis caught scoring passes of 42 and 24 yards, the latter giving St. Bonaventure a 26-7 halftime lead.

Seraphs quarterback Jack Swisher completed 10 of 18 for 191 yards with one interception.

Justin Fenchel of Calabasas completed 15 of 32 for 228 yards and one touchdown, a 58-yard strike to Andre Woodert with 4:27 left in the first half that cut the Coyote deficit to 20-7.

Fenchel was intercepted twice and sacked 12 times.

Jon Bednarski had four sacks and seven tackles for the Seraphs.
