Where’s the Pig?

I must take exception to the article regarding barbecue (In the Mood, July 26). I find it surprising that Jessica Strand completely missed the award-winning, Memphis-style barbecue of the Pig on La Brea Avenue.
This little but extremely successful restaurant not only serves some of the finest barbecue west of Memphis, it has surpassed many of the restaurants mentioned in the article in gross annual sales in its first year of operations.
The real (and will always be) Barbecue King is Daly Thompson of the Pig.
