Federal Investigators to Help Probe Killings

Mexican President Vicente Fox has ordered federal crime specialists to help investigate the killings of 67 women in the past eight years in Ciudad Juarez, just across the border from El Paso.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the inquiry, Fox told federal investigators Wednesday to work closely with authorities in northern Chihuahua state, according to officials at the attorney general’s office.
The office said newly appointed federal investigators plan to ask FBI officials in Texas to assist with the Juarez investigation.
Convictions have been made in some of the killings, but Fox said too many questions remain.
