Olson on Roster for CaliFlorida Bowl

Quarterback Ben Olson of Thousand Oaks, defensive lineman Fred Matua of Wilmington Banning, linebacker Ryan Powdrell of Mission Viejo and five Long Beach Poly athletes are among Southland players selected for the CaliFlorida Bowl III all-star football game at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 2 at El Camino College in Torrance.
Florida, which tied the series with a 17-14 victory in the second meeting, will be led by quarterback Gavin Dickey of Tallahassee Lincoln. Dickey has passed for 1,800 yards and 18 touchdowns and rushed for 740 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games.
