Pedestrian Hit by Car Dies of His Injuries

A man who was struck by a car Friday morning in south Oxnard has died from injuries, authorities said Sunday.
Coroner’s investigators would not release the man’s name, saying they were still trying to notify his family.
The man was hit by a Dodge Caravan while walking north across Pleasant Valley Road at Perkins Road. He was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where he died at 1:22 p.m. Saturday.
The driver of the van, Ralph Klingenhoff, 36, of Camarillo, was not injured. The cause of the incident was under investigation, police said.
