Marriage Proposal Gets Firefighters Reprimand

Five Longview firefighters who used a ladder truck to help an off-duty colleague propose on Christmas Eve have been reprimanded.
Fire Chief Richard Lazarus said the crew did not have permission to use the truck.
Adam Deary climbed the firetruck ladder to the balcony of his girlfriend’s apartment and proposed. Andrea Jones accepted.
Deary was not reprimanded because he was off duty.
