* After witnessing the Democrats’ extremely feeble threats to President Bush’s selection of Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft and the blithe approval of Interior Secretary Gale Norton and other questionable appointees, I was bemused. Now, watching the Democrats jump in bed with Bush on his tax cut and other programs and seeing no protest of his cutting funds to overseas health services and slow whittling away of civil rights, I’m beginning to think Ralph Nader was right about the two parties being pretty much the same. I’m also starting to think that all of us who were scared into voting for Al Gore were had.
