Miranda Emde
Marina, Basketball
Emde scored 42 points, setting a school record in Marina’s 71-52 victory over Fountain Valley Thursday. Emde made five three-pointers in the game. She scored 21 points in a second-place playoff victory over Edison on Friday. Because of a three-way tie for second between Edison, Marina and Huntington Beach with 5-5 Sunset League records, a playoff determined the league’s second and third automatic playoff berth recipients.

Calvary Chapel, Basketball
She scored 45 points and had 11 rebounds in two games, helping lead Calvary Chapel to an undefeated league season.
* Kristin von Tungeln
University, Basketball
Had 29 points, 37 rebounds and 6 blocked shots in two victories for University, helping the Trojans win the league title.
Sean Phaler
Villa Park, Basketball
Phaler scored 28 points, had 11 rebounds, six blocked shots and five steals in Villa Park’s 80-44 victory over Santa Ana Valley Tuesday night. The victory clinched the Century League title for Villa Park. Phaler had four points in the Spartans 60-33 victory over Foothill on Thursday to finish league play undefeated for the second consecutive season and earn the No. 3 seeding in the Southern Section Division I-A playoffs.
* Toyo Kimura
Los Alamitos, Wrestling
He won all four matches at 112 pounds to help the Griffins to second place at the Southern Section Division II duals.
* Todd Jones
El Toro, Soccer
Jones had five saves as El Toro upset top-ranked Dana Hills, 2-1, and secured a third-place finish in league.
