* Former Palmdale High pitcher Matt Harrington concluded two days of meetings with Colorado Rockies officials without signing a deal, but both sides felt a tempered enthusiasm toward the future.
Harrington, who has been offered $4 million by the Rockies but is seeking $4.95 million, met with Rockies officials in person for the first time since being selected No. 7 overall in June’s draft.
