Putting the Shoe on the Other Foot

In reference to Larry Stewart’s review of a “SportsCentury” profile of Bill Shoemaker, which he complained had far too much emphasis on Shoemaker’s alcohol-induced highway tragedy and its aftermath (resulting in paralysis), as opposed to highlights of his riding career, I have one thing to say:

Anyone who gets drunk, drives his truck off the road, becomes paralyzed and sues the truck manufacturer cannot expect to be let off the hook so quickly.
