Home Builders More Optimistic This Month

An index measuring optimism among U.S. home builders rose in June to the highest level in three months as low mortgage rates lured buyers, a construction industry survey showed.
The National Assn. of Home Builders’ housing market index rose to 58 this month, the highest since March, from 56 in May. A reading above 50 signals a majority of builders are positive about market conditions.
