Pitino, Packer and Vitale all picking Maryland to make their first ever Final Four appearance. Slam dunk, right? Wrong. Maryland will choke like dying dogs just like they have in their previous 17 invites to the Big Dance.
Talent-wise Maryland is as good as anybody in the country. Their problem: coaching. Gary Williams is a good coach, but not a great one. The Terps will be lucky to make it to the Elite Eight, not even that far if they run into UCLA early.
