* Has someone turned the lights on downtown? With all the politicians from over the hill stumping for mayor in the San Fernando Valley, it’s like a horde of cockroaches invading us. Never have I seen so many public forums where the candidates allow themselves to be seen and heard. I compare it to the street sweeper showing up after so many years that I had to rub my eyes to see if it was real. But unlike the street sweeper who will show up month after month, when they get done saying what people want to hear, they’ll retreat like cockroaches to the dark and dank underbelly of downtown.
And just to let them know, I’m voting for the street sweeper. The sweeper seems to be the only one concerned with the Valley’s needs.
